How to Use the Stock Screener

Learn how to use the Screener to search for stocks based on conditions you set.

Creating a screener from scratch

  1. Scroll down to the New Screener tab on your Screener page
  2. Click + Add More Conditions
  3. Set the condition by:
    – Selecting the metric
    – Selecting the inequality symbol
    – Entering the value
    – Checking the Mandatory box if this condition must be met

    Tip: Clicking on Show Advanced Condition Types will reveal more complicated variations
  4. Click Add Condition
  5. Optional: Add more conditions by repeating steps 2-4
  6. Optional: Select the exchange, target stocks, and the minimum number of conditions that a stock needs to meet
  7. Click Run
  8. View the stocks that fulfill the conditions in the Results tab
  9. Optional: To save, enter the Screener Name and click Save Screener

Using a publicly-shared screener

  1. Click on the screener name on the Shared Screeners page
  2. The screener and its conditions will be loaded automatically on your screener page
  3. Click Run
  4. View the stocks that fulfill the conditions in the Results tab
  5. Optional: You can + Add More Conditions or delete a condition by clicking on 
  6. Optional: To save, edit the Screener Name if you like and click Save Screener

Loading a saved screener

  1. Click on the screener name in the Saved Screeners tab on your Screener page
  2. The screener and its conditions will be loaded automatically in the Current Screener tab
  3. Click Run
  4. View the stocks that fulfill the conditions in the Results tab
  5. Optional: You can + Add More Conditions or delete conditions by clicking on 

Tip: Any conditions added or removed from a saved screener are automatically saved

Tip 2: Click Update Screener to save changes to the exchange, target stocks, and the minimum number of conditions to pass
